Austin Mini Ute, 1971. The pick-up versions of the classic Mini were based on the Mini Van. Assembled in New Zealand, Austin Minis were built at the Associated Motor Industries Petone plant. They were popular in NZ (my primary school teacher had one) and continued to be made here after production in the UK had ceased. This one (which has been modified) is part of at display at Bill Richardson Transport World in Invercargill.
